Process -- Finishing in Use:

Compared to stone finishing, the finishing film provides a consistent and constant surface right from the start. Through a controlled, continuous feed of the film, always new abrasive grit is being used.
In connection with the correct feed rate, rotational speed of the work piece and the correct contact pressure an absolute precise and repeatable surface result will be achieved.
Variable types of rolls from soft to hard further provide the optimized size of surface in contact with the work piece.
Last but not least the protrusion of each grit and consequently the abrasiveness is defined by the composition of grit size, grit type and layer thickness of the bond.
Compared to stone finishing, film finishing allows all commercial cooling lubricants to be used. Waste removal and coolant reprocessing therefore becomes more cost effective.
