Finishing with films

To achieve a consistent finishing result and reproducible permanent quality generally a continuous feed of virgin (new) abrasive is applied.
With combining work piece rotation and tool oscillation, the abrasive particles design a sine wave which is characteristic for this process.
Even normal turning machines may be modified to apply this technology by means of a superfinishing attachment.

The required surface values my also be achieved by a multiple step process. Generally the half Ra value is possible per each step.
